“For this project, I designed a sustainable fashion collection, titled Loop’d. Each one of the 3 looks for my final project incorporates the use of prints that take inspiration from surreal nature depictions, environmental destructions and eco-centric awareness messages. With this collection I explored the ways in which the design of an Augmented Reality interface could empower consumers to virtually try on, interact and shop through a 3D interface. By digitizing runway presentation and the in-store experience, my project proposes that we can democratize the industry of fashion because this space allows for smaller or local designers to compete on the same level as high end or corporate fashion brands. By remediating runway storytelling through the use of Augmented Reality and 3D graphics, each consumer can become an active participant in their e-commerce shopping experience. To visualize this project, I used the following software: Marvelous Designer, CLO3D, Reallusion' s iClone, Reallusion' s Character Creator 3, Unreal Engine, Substance Painter, After Effects, Adobe XD, and Maya.”

Learning the tools while developing my research required lots of trail and error. From translating my knowledge of garment construction to CLO3D, to retopologizing garments for virtual reality. It was a back and forth process of exploring new tools and conducting market research.
