In The Power of Place, Winnifred Gallagher argues that "Just as the world around us affects our behaviors, our thoughts, emotions and actions affect our surroundings." (19) This 3 week project asked us to examine the reciprocal relationship between each of us and the spaces we occupy.

We were instructed to reflect on how one particular place or space (personal and private or public or communal) that brings about a sense of awe, wonderment, peace or excitement. Questions to consider: What is it about that space that brings about that emotional state? How does that space or place affect you, and how do you (in turn) affect it?

Using Wonda VR to create (or re-create) that space in a virtual reality environment to loosely explore some of these issue and to allow others to experience the sacredness of the space chosen.

Final required deliverable:

Virtual Reality Experience that can be viewed on screen and through a VR Headset. 

1. Movement between two distinct spaces, triggered by gaze or visible "button". This movement could be between two physical spaces (think moving from room to room) or it could be between a physical space and a cognitive or informational one (think move/zoom into a thought, dream or picture)

2. Two additional pieces of information (image, video, text, spatial audio, artifact) that are overlaid into your space and can act as additional content to help users experience the sacredness of your space.
